Series: Travis County Legal
Rating: stars 3.5 out of 5
Blurb: A broken hero
An orphaned child
And the lawman who could save them both
Colin Shepard knew the exact second his twin sister Becca died. He was free-falling from a plane at the time. He cheated his death, but was left a very broken man.
Two things kept him going through the pain: Keeping his promise to Becca and raising her son as his own, and bringing her killer to justice.
But he was going to need something he hated to ask for. Help.
Sheriff Gabriel Green had done the right thing all his life. Part of that included on the job, working on a case that led nowhere with no clues or leads. Justice still needed to be found. But with the case of Becca Shepard’s disappearance, it seemed a long way off, and getting longer by the day.
Then Colin came back to town and things started heating up. And not just on the case…

Review: I’ve often heard that twins have a special bond that no other siblings have, so I’m not surprised that Colin knew when his sister died. All about Zane was a good read, albeit with some typos and a few POV issues. Putting that aside the story had merit. Murder, kidnapping, deception, hate, family strife – what’s better than all of that combined into one story?
Moon did a good job of capturing my attention, especially during the opening trial. I won’t spoil it for those who want to read the book, but I will say it got me angry, so angry I wanted to reach through the pages and strangle the person involved. After that scene, I just had to continue reading. I needed to know not only if justice was served, but how it all came down. The mystery of how and why Becca, Colin’s twin sister, died had gone cold while Colin was away. Upon his return, he had to reignite the need to complete the investigation and put his sister’s life to rest.
I write Mystery/Romance and know that writing mystery can be quite complex. Where to begin. How much to divulge at what stages throughout the book. Making sure there is enough story and plot to keep the reader’s interest. Moon did all of that well, giving me a good feeling when I finished the book and shut my Kindle. I read a lot of books, some really good and others not so much. I gave All About Zane 3.5 stars because the book was not thoroughly edited and it could have had a bit more character backstory and development.
