A cyberattack on an obscure U.S. dam leaves thousands dead and the government wondering who attacked it, and why. When they realize it is just the tip of the iceberg—and that the safety of all of America is at stake—the President has no choice but to call in Luke Stone.
Head of an elite, disbanded FBI team, Luke does not want the job. But with new enemies—foreign and domestic—closing in on her from all sides, the President can only trust him. What follows is an action-packed international roller-coaster, as Luke learns that the terrorists are more sophisticated than anyone realizes, that the target is more extensive than anyone could image—and that there is very little time left to save America.
A political thriller with non-stop action, dramatic international settings, unexpected twists and heart-pounding suspense, SITUATION ROOM is book #3 in the Luke Stone series, an explosive new series that will leave you turning pages late into the night.

Review: Imagine yourself the first woman president of The United States, put in office by a terrorist attack that left the country in chaos and distress. Now imagine another terrorist attack on the country’s infrastructure, one that will not only bring the country to its knees – again – will kill thousands and do irreparable harm in the process. That’s how President Susan Hopkins’ day started and it would get worse.
When terrorists attacked the controls of a regional dam, the spillways opened sending millions of gallons of water downstream flooding unsuspecting family homes, tourist centers, and resorts. Thousands died, destruction was total, and the terrorists had just begun.
Jack Mars pulled me in – into Susan Hopkins’ personal life, her life as the first woman president, her feelings as she navigated the dishonest politics of those she had once trusted, and now another attack on her country.
I found myself wanting to take out several people and hug many others as I continued reading Situation Room. At no time did I have the plot figured out, nor did I see the end as it crept up on me.
That Susan Hopkins decided to use the skills of Luke Stone wasn’t unexpected, but the difficulties she had with her decision were. I anticipated those around her would applaud having him back on their team. Boy was I wrong. Reading this book made me think of the world we live in right now. Foreign governments interfering with democratic elections, social media being bombarded by Bots that look like real people, cyber attacks on campaigns for the purpose of exposing a candidate whether s/he did anything wrong.
Jack Mars brought me into the president and Stone’s lives as they worked their way through this situation and brought it to an end. Worth the read!
