Review: There are many ways to bring romance to the page. When a novel has romance, suspense, angst, and intrigue, I sit up and pay attention.  Becca Seymour did a great job with the angst and suspense.  Ryan has had the chance of a lifetime offered to him and he jumps at the prize.  Nate, though happy and proud for his glued to the hip friend is also sad.  Ryan is leaving the country to play basketball, his life’s passion.  Though Nate doesn’t want to lose his best friend, there are no take backs – Ryan has the opportunity to live his dreams and there’s nothing Nate will do to stop that.

But is that enough?  Both Nate and Ryan know they want more, know they want to be open and out, both in private and public, want life to be fair.  But how can they do that?

Seymour walked me through the angst, and literal pains of both Ryan and Nate as they tried to navigate their new lives without each other.  She brings the reader into their heads, those of their fellow teammates, coaches, friends and families.  She takes you along their path as they try to resolve the issue that is so important to each of them.

Seymour is great with words.  She has the ability to pull you in as you read; forcing you to continue along the path the characters have created.  If you enjoy reading a good romance filled with angst and suspense, then you should enjoy No Take Backs.  Click the button below to get your copy today.
